Meet Attorney Christopher Hultquist
Christopher Hultquist earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Boston College in 1990, cum laude, and his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University in 1994, cum laude. After graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk for Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice Donald F. Shea during the 1994-95 term. Since 1995, he has been representing individuals, corporations, and public entities in trial and appellate courts across Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Additionally, he represents individuals who have sustained vaccine injuries in the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C.
Chris’s litigation practice is extensive, covering personal injury cases such as automobile accidents, slip and falls, premises liability, medical malpractice, prescription errors, product liability, construction accidents, wrongful death, civil rights violations, and catastrophic injuries. He also handles business and corporate disputes, including breach of contract, intellectual property, patent infringement, employment law, corporate conflicts, and real estate disputes.
Leadership in Alternative Dispute Resolution & Professional Involvement
Understanding that not all disputes can be resolved in court, Chris has developed significant expertise in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). He serves as a Rhode Island Superior Court-approved arbitrator in its Court-Annexed Arbitration Program and as a Superior Court-approved mediator. He conducts private mediations and arbitrations for various personal injury and business-related disputes and has also been appointed as a Special Master by the United States Federal District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
Chris was inducted as a Fellow in the Academy of Court Appointed Masters and is a active member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and Massachusetts Bar Association. He is also involved in the Boston College Alumni Association and the Boston College Club. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Jonnycake Center for Hope in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, supporting it’s mission of providing access to healthy food, safe and affordable housing, youth opportunities, and hope for all local residents.
Chris is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island and the District of Massachusetts, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.
